9eo Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how 9eo ("the bot", "we", "us") handles information when used in Discord servers.

1. Overview

9eo is a Discord music bot created for use with Discord voice channels. It can join voice channels, play supported audio sources, respond to slash commands, provide playback controls, and save basic playlist data.

2. Information 9eo May Process

When you use 9eo, the bot may process limited Discord-related information needed to operate, including:

- Discord server ID
- Discord channel ID
- Discord user ID of the user running a command
- Slash command names and command options
- Voice channel connection state needed to join and play audio
- Playlist names and playlist item references saved through 9eo commands
- Basic runtime logs for troubleshooting

9eo does not intentionally collect real names, addresses, payment information, private messages, or sensitive personal information.

3. Music and Source Data

9eo may process links, search terms, file names, and source references provided by users for playback. Supported source targets may include local .mp3 and .wav files, YouTube, SoundCloud, Internet Archive, Apple Music links, and Spotify links.

Apple Music and Spotify links may be recognized, but direct full-song playback may require provider-approved access or another playable source.

4. Data Storage

9eo may store playlist data in a local data file on the host server. This data may include playlist names, track titles, source labels, and original source references.

9eo does not sell user data.

5. Logs

9eo may create runtime logs for debugging and service reliability. Logs may include command errors, connection events, and source resolver errors. Logs are used only to operate and troubleshoot the bot.

6. Data Sharing

9eo does not sell, rent, or trade user data. Data may be processed by Discord as part of normal Discord app operation. Links or source queries submitted to the bot may be processed by the relevant source resolver or service when playback is requested.

7. Data Retention

Playlist data is kept until it is deleted by the bot owner or removed during maintenance. Runtime logs may be retained for troubleshooting and may be deleted periodically.

8. User Control and Deletion

Server administrators or users may request removal of playlist data associated with their server by contacting the bot owner. The bot owner may delete stored playlist data from the server at any time.

9. Security

Reasonable steps are taken to keep 9eo's token, configuration, and stored data private. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Children

9eo is intended for use within Discord servers according to Discord's own terms and age requirements. 9eo is not directed toward children outside Discord's permitted use.

11. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated as 9eo changes. Continued use of the bot after updates means you accept the updated policy.
